Insanity max 30 sweat intervals review
Let me start by saying that my reason for doing Insanity Max:30 was to see how it could benefit my running! Winter is my “off-season” from training so I was interested to see how this would benefit me rather than just easy runs and some strength training. Top with garlic, parsley and salt! Toss gently to blend and enjoy! Add Brussels sprouts, reduce heat to medium and cook for 3 to 5 minutes. Max:30 was the first Beachbody program to combine the 21 day fix containers with it’s nutrition guide! This was a huge deal in my opinion! So many people have great success with the 21 day fix nutrition guide and they are afraid to do a program without them! Shaun T combined his recipes with the containers and made it fool proof for challengers! The recipes were easy yet delicious and the plan was super simple to follow! I struggled with nutrition because I had some major holidays to face through the 8 weeks and I also found myself starving after these workouts! You can always tell how intense the workouts are based on your hunger! I drank Shakeology daily to make sure that I was giving my body the proper nutrients it needed to complete an intense program like this! One of my favorite recipes from this program was: Garlic and Parsley Brussels Sprouts:Ģ0 medium Brussels sprouts, stems removed and washedīring a large saucepan of water to a boil over high heat. Max out Strength: again, 45 seconds on/15 seconds off, upper-body focused workout! Again, the push ups in this one were intense and I had to modify a lot of them! I plan on keeping this one in my schedule because it really tested me!įriday Fright: Round 2: Again, he combined all of the hardest moves into 1 video! I personally thought Max Out Sweat was harder than this one but very close in intensity! Shaun T claims it is the hardest workout he has ever done! That should say something right? When I wore my heart rate monitored I always burnt over 300 calories which equals a 3 mile run! Max out Sweat: this was by far the hardest workout I have ever done! I was dripping at the end of this one and always maxed out within the first 10 minutes each time. The push ups in this video still give me nightmares! I was still able to do a 2-3 mile run after this video!
Max Out Power: similar to month 1’s tabata power but 45 seconds on/15 seconds off.
Max Out Cardio: again.heavy cardio with breaks built in! Tabata Strength- Shaun T took the breaks out for this one but it was less cardio and a lot more body weight strength moves! Again, a good video to pair with a run!įriday Fright Round 2: Shaun combined the hardest moves from the all of the workouts and put them into 1 video! I started to dread Fridays very quickly but it made Saturday’s rest day even more enjoyable! Again, a heavy dose of cardio sequences with breaks built in! Sweat Intervals: Shaun T brought his A-game on this workout.if you think you are in shape this will prove you wrong. Tabata Power: the tabata workouts were less cardio based and more plyometric focused and I found these good to do on my “running” days! Tabata style if you aren’t familiar is on/off structured so the moves were 20 seconds on/10 seconds off!
#INSANITY MAX 30 SWEAT INTERVALS REVIEW FULL#
Month 1 includes:Ĭardio Challenge: this is a fast paced workout full of some of the hardest cardio sequences you will ever try! You do get breaks every 5 minutes which I really enjoyed even if they were only a few seconds The program is broken down into 2 months, 5 workouts a week. Needless to say, I found myself pacing myself at first but eventually got the hang of it. You will never make it through a run if you go out as hard as you can at the beginning. The first thing I tell all my clients when they start a running program is to start slow and pace yourself. As a runner, this was a hard concept for me to wrap my brain around. It’s about going as hard as you can for as long as you can until you max out. Shaun T makes it clear that it’s not about getting through all 30 minutes. “To stop or fail for the first time in the workout”. I finished all 8 weeks of Insanity Max:30 without missing a single workout! I promised you a honest review of the program so here it goes!
